
What is the context of Saturday, December 19th, 2020 's visit to the Guerguarat crossing, in the Moroccan Sahara, paid by a high level delegation including the minister of national education, and the deputed minister in charge of higher education, side to side with representatives of school education, higher education, vocational training and scientific research, as well as the central directors, universities presidents and directors of regional academies of education and training? and what are its strategic dimensions?
Doesn't this symbolic and historical visit indicate the close and rooted connection of all the components of the national educational, vocational training and higher educational system, with every inch of the soil of the Moroccan Kingdom? as well as their permanent readiness to implant the values and principles of citizenship and to inculcate the devotion to the sacred and their defense in the hearts of youth and students?
That who follows the Moroccan affairs in general and the Moroccan Sahara issue in particular can only bless this important and symbolic move took last Saturday 19 December 2020 to the Guerguerat border crossing headed by Mr. Said Amzazi, the minister of National Education, Professional Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the official spokesman for the government, and Mr. Idris Aouisheh, the deputed minister in charge of Higher education and scientific research, alongside the general writers of the three educational sectors: national education, vocational training, and higher education and scientific research, the director of the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion, the central directors, the presidents of universities and the directors of regional academies of education and training.
The visit of this delegation to such a strategic region in this delicate circumstance, comes after two main events: the liberation of the Guerguarat crossing and the re-insurance of people and goods transportation between Morocco and its neighbor Mauritania on one hand, and the American presidential decision of the recognition of Morocco's sovereignty on the entire Moroccan Sahara on the other hand. This visit is the expression their appreciation to the firm and courageous royal armed forces intervention, in execution to the instructions of its Majesty, the highest commander and chief of staff of the general war of the royal armed forces, King Mohamed 6
For the observers, this visit is nothing but the embodiment of the essential role of the educational, vocational, and scientific research system and its mobilization to defend of the unity of the homeland, protect its interests, instill the values and principles of citizenship among the youth, and their clinging to the national union and the preservation of the sacred in our beloved homeland.
During their visit to the Guerguarat crossing the members of the delegation expressed:
-Their firm attachment and support to the territorial union of our dear country.
-Their appreciation for the decision taken by the United state of America in which they recognized the sovereignty of the Moroccan Kingdom over the entire regions of the Moroccan Sahara, opened a consulate in the city of Dakhla, and expressed their desire to encourage American investments and advance economic and social development, especially in our southern regions, similar to the decisions of many brotherly and friendly countries' decision in opening Consulates in our southern provinces
They also renewed their pride in the relevance of the strategic choices, the efficacy of national diplomacy at the international and continental levels, and the credibility of the reform efforts led by His Majesty, may God protect him, which resulted in the open support of the international community for the cause of the Moroccan Sahara and its legitimacy and the recognition of the efficacy and realism of the proposal for self-government as a serious political solution within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, taking in account its historical and civilizational depth and its importance for the final folding of this fabricated conflict.
The visit was an occasion for the members of the delegation to express their pride and support to the decisive step taken by its Majesty in the path of our territorial integrity, a step that is considered a national event that reinforces the glorious and immortal patriotic epics in the march of the national struggle, and that highlighted the extent of the close cohesion between the Moroccan people and glorious Alaouite throne, in defense od the national sanctities and constants and in preservation of the national identity with its multiple tributaries, and of the sovereignty of our country on each inch of its territories in the Moroccan Sahara.
The delegation did not miss the opportunity to re-express its appreciation to the firm and rooted positions of our country towards the Palestinian cause and the historic and essential role it plays in the establishment of permanent peace in the Middle East region, especially through the two-states solution and the maintenance of dialogue between the two parties in order to find a comprehensive and lasting solution to this case, as it is mentioned in the December 10th,2020 Royal court statement. The delegation shared the people of the southern regions their joy over this historical event and witnessed up close the development achieved in this region of the kingdom, mainly in the expansion of educational and training offers within the various cycles offered by the system, all in service of the people in general and the youth in particular. The members noted as well the progress made in the implementation of special development project led by its Majesty king Mohamed 6 in the area. The delegation was proud of the special importance that its Majesty attaches to pushing forward the advanced regional workshop that promises the good local governance. All these efforts were made in order to strengthen the closeness to the people of this precious quarter of our home land to activate the integrated regional economic, social and cultural development within the framework of a unified, integrated, democratic, and peaceful Morocco under the care of our beloved King Mohammed VI, may God protect him
