The recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over its Sahara by the American president has been on the front page if many national and international newspapers. Such news has divided the public opinion between friends and allies approving this historical brave move from the United States of America, and enemies disapproving the national union of the kingdom, in addition to a group who stayed skeptical regarding the backgrounds of this announcement, some even went to build a hypothesis of deal and trade...
The reaction went on and on and so did the statement and the replies and in the end, a Moroccan woman, Naima BENFAIDA, has been able to actually take a stand, by getting high quality attendance and the important participation of well known academic authorities, , on Saturday morning, December 12th, 2020, in Gustave Eiffel educational institution. They all gathered in order to enlighten the public opinion, both national and international, through rich interventions on the implications of the declaration of Donald TRUMP, and its judicial bases as well as it's geostrategic proportions in the area.
"Cross-readings in the American recognition of the Moroccan Sahara: the meanings, the challenges, and the aftermaths" such was the title of the national conference that gathered Mr. Sabri ALHO, who's a lawyer in Meknes and an expert in international law and immigration, and Dr. Ahmed BOUJDAD, the professor in law faculty in Rabat, and Dr. Miloudy BELQADI the political analyst, as well as Ahmed Al BOUKILI an academic expert in Islamic thought , all under the special moderation of the international law in the university Caddi Ayyad in Marrakesh, Dr. Abdlfetah El BELAMCHI.
The lecturers amused the attendance by their valuable scientific and intellectual interventions, in which Mr. Sabri ALHO, affirmed that the American decision was not a result of a moody moment of the president nor was it a return to a country that was the first to recognize the independence of America in 1777 but was rather a proof of a historical legitimacy attesting that Morocco was a country who had sovereignty on its geographical province that has been now recognized since long time ago, and it was not a result of a imperialistic division as some enemies try to portrait.
With such a decision, adds Mr. Sabri, and given that America is a great country specialized and costumed to writing draft decisions to the security council, Morocco has assured the collaboration of an essential organ inside the council, an organ that will not make decisions that are against Moroccan vested interests.

After the legislative and constitutional approach and the international analysis that has been presented by those authorities in the field, came the turn of the researcher and academic that is specialized in Islamic thoughts, Mr. Ahmed Al BOUKILI that has stressed on the role of knowledge in the defense of such national cases and to stress the importance of the immunization of Moroccan identity through academic and scientific discourses, and since each academic approach is linked to a special paradigm, he found it essential to read the transitions of this presidential decision from the perspective of civilization’s philosophy and spiritual analysis. The enemies of territorial integrity are promoting a poisonous rhetoric that the American recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara is part of a political deal in the region, and they forget that America's strong decision stems from its conviction as a state in the just cause of Morocco, which cannot be reduced to a geographical map, but rather represents a civilized force headed by the Commander of the Faithful with what he represents from Historical legitimacy.
In between interventions, the moderator of the conference, Dr. Abdlfatah El BELAMCHI was summarizing each intervention, to conclude at the end of the conference, by emphasizing the necessity of Moroccan diplomacy to accelerate the exploitation of this historic achievement for the final settlement of the fabricated conflict in the Moroccan Sahara.
